You probably already know all about randonauting if you're on this page, but if you don’t you should check out the subreddit for more information. This post on there is long but a really good read about the science and psychology behind it! Simplified, it's an app that takes you to places in the real world and suggests you look at them, really look at them, and see if you notice anything special. It's one of my favorite things.
When I use these stickers, I put them at every randonaut point I go to. If I saw or experienced something odd or close to my intention, I’ll color in the light on the anomaly detector with a bright color before sticking it somewhere. If nothing seemed out of the ordinary, I’ll leave it blank but still stick it on something.
These little guys are super fun to put around town where there are already stickers and graffiti. Please do not stick these anywhere that will disturb nature or on anyone’s personal property.
Randonauting is all about leaving spaces better than as you found them, so only leave these stickers in places where adding them would contribute positively to the space. Obviously this is subjective, so use your best judgment.
Alternatively, stick these on your own things! They may not last very long, but who doesn’t love that old sticker grunge look anyway? Graffiti and guerilla art are meant to be ephemeral, so these low-fi stickers are best for that. They will wear away when exposed to repeated use or the weather.
If you’d like a more durable sticker for your water bottle or laptop, I'm also planning on selling those but please don’t stick those anywhere other than on your own things. I'll post on my instagram when these are for sale!
